Arthurdale Heritage’s New Deal Festival is giving people of all ages a chance to step back in time as America and Arthurdale go to war in 1942. The festival begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14th and features artisan demonstrations, historic reenactments, museum tours, craft market, antique car, truck, and tractor show, quilt show, supervised kids area with games and activities, and much more.
Come experience Arthurdale the summer after the beginning of WWII! This one day event will have something for everyone to enjoy.
1942 on Display
This year we are very fortunate to have been loaned numerous pieces of New Deal and FDR political memorabilia from the private collection or Robert Fratkin. It is an amazing exhibit and the New Deal Festival is a wonderful opportunity to see it!
Living history will also be on display when we welcome Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt back to our event as well as reenactors portraying individuals and WWII military recruiters from 1942.
Antique Car, Truck, Tractor, and Motorcycle Show
The Antique Car, Truck, Tractor Show is being expanded to include antique motorcycles this year. Registration is $10.00. Proceeds from the car show will be used to buy presents for community children at the annual Christmas with Santa event in December.
